Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. The stunning beauty of Rene Marie is evident throughout her career as a performer and actress. As a young model, she began her career in the 1970s. Her popularity quickly grew in the modeling industry. Following her studies in acting Russo embarked on a modeling career in Los Angeles. Russo began her film debut in ABCs drama series Sable in 1987, playing the character Eden Kendell. She was Tom Berengers' love interest the following year on Major League, her debut movie. The critics were initially skeptical about her acting skills However, her consistently good performance won them over. In Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak she was especially praised by the critics for her performance against Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman and many others. She claims that she was never a fan in acting. In 2005 she took a long self-imposed break. Following a lengthy break, she returned with her role in Thor. She also appeared in the Oscar winning film Nightcrawler which was produced by her husband. Rose Namajunas is one of the most successful female athletes within the UFC. Her early days were spent as an amateur boxer who participated in regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she joined UFC Ultimate Fighting Championships. Namajunas has racked up a lot of fame following her joining of the UFC due to both her inside and outside the octagon success. Namajunas was born on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrant family. Rose was a kickboxer and basketball player while growing up. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her at age 18 and she was able to win 2 fights via submission. Dana White noticed this and when she was in December 2014 aged 22 she signed her for a fight as a strawweight in the UFC. Rose has been through the highs and lows of her career. But she has always won. Rose fought Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in April 2015. Rose was awarded the Women's Strawweight Title and was also named the Fighter of The Night. It was the first time a woman competed against a major promotion in a title fight. Namajunas won a number of fights following her win including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk on two occasions.
